Maximum efficiency through innovative technology

The CSN® tubular heating elements from Schniewindt are also known as tubular heating elements. What makes them special is that they act as ohmic resistors, can be used in a variety of applications and have an impressively long service life thanks to their optimised surface load. The central heating conductor is embedded in high-quality magnesium oxide and ensures ideal heat dissipation and high insulation resistance.

The flexible design in the cold state ensures that Schniewindt tubular heating elements can be customised. As universally applicable heating elements, the electric tubular radiators also form the basis for other radiators, including Schniewindt's screw-in radiators and flange radiators.

Schniewindt: Quality made in Germany since 1829

The robust tubular heating elements are made of high-quality stainless steel and are designed for harsh working conditions. Thanks to their highly compressed design, they achieve a particularly high level of efficiency when heating gases, liquids and solids. The power range extends from 100 to 20,000 watts (W). The main advantage of electric tubular heaters is their customised shape. Depending on the area of application, they are manufactured in different ways, including stretched, U-shaped or coiled - similar to an immersion heater.

In addition to standard tubular radiators, Schniewindt's product portfolio also includes a finned version. This version offers a significantly larger surface area. The electric tubular heater is suitable for use in drying systems and air heaters for heating air or gases. There is also the CSN® flat tubular heater, which offers a larger surface area. This is available in 5.3 × 13.2 millimetre (mm) and 7.0 × 17.0 mm profiles and is particularly suitable for confined installation situations. The flat tubular radiator offers the same product features and benefits as the robust tubular radiators. It can also be individually moulded, which makes it very versatile.

Wide range of applications for the highest requirements

In production technology, electric tubular heating elements are used wherever precise temperature control is required. Tubular heating elements from Schniewindt are therefore ideal for process heating in the plastics and metal industries. Various designs with diameters between 6.5 and 16 mm can be used to fulfil a wide range of requirements.

In plant and mechanical engineering, the robust heating elements are used for pyrolysis, heating air and rubber and in furnace construction. Tubular heating elements are also used in smoking systems.
