Cartridge radiators with excellent product properties

The CSN® cartridge heaters complement the Schniewindt portfolio. The cartridge heaters come into play in applications where direct heating is required. They allow the heating element to be replaced without time-consuming emptying of the tank and offer precise temperature monitoring and control. The radiator surface is easy to clean so that deposits can be easily removed. Vibration-resistant versions are optionally available in the CSN® cartridge heater type 90N/G and type 90G. In addition, the cartridge heater is also available as type 93EX for use in potentially explosive environments.

 

The robust electric cartridge heaters are designed for operating temperatures of up to 150°C and have outputs of 0.2 to 20 kilowatts (kW). The voltage supply is flexible from 110 to 690 volts (V), optionally also up to 1000 V. Depending on requirements, various protective tube materials such as steel, stainless steel or ceramic are available.

In production and industry, CSN® cartridge heaters are used wherever precise electrical heating of liquid or gaseous media is required. They are used in hydraulic and tank construction for the reliable temperature control of oils and other liquids. In plant and mechanical engineering, they are used for a wide variety of heating processes.

 

Electroplating benefits from the corrosion-resistant versions for heating baths and solutions. In plastics technology, the cartridge heaters enable precise temperature control of tools and moulds. The petrochemical industry relies on the explosion-proof versions for potentially explosive areas.

Electric cartridge heaters are highly efficient heating solutions

Schniewindt's cartridge heaters are ideal for precisely heating gear and hydraulic oils. This benefits power unit and gearbox manufacturers, plant and crane manufacturers, oil supply systems and the mining industry as well as the wind power industry, where even extreme conditions pose no problem for the cartridge heaters.

 

Schniewindt's extensive portfolio includes various types for specific requirements: The CSN® type 90/G is suitable for temperatures up to 80°C, while the type 93/G also works reliably at temperatures above 80°C. Types 93EX and 95EX are available for potentially explosive atmospheres. For fluctuating liquid levels, the best choice is the angled immersion heater type 93/W.
